SS 317L Sheets is readily machined to a high finish, and is readily formed in the annealed condition and may be subsequently heat treated. Arc or gas welding is generally not recommended, although SS 317L Plates may be spot, seam or flash welded. Compared to regular steel, SS 317L Coils does not easily corrode, stain, or oxidize / rust.
