SMO 254 Sealing Washers is a heat resistant, titanium stabilized, austenitic alloy that’s commonly used for service in the 1000 Degree F – 1600 Degree F temperature range. A limitation of SMO 254 Split Washers is that titanium does not transfer well across a high temperature arc, so is not recommended as a welding consumable. SMO 254 Slot Washers is a modification of Stainless Steel 321 with a higher carbon content, to provide improved high temperature strength.
